Welsh Cakes 威爾斯小蛋糕
These my favourite little cakes lately – Welsh cakes, they are so delicious. They are like cakes, biscuits or mini scone.
Very simple ingredients, very easy to make , it is like the way to make scones. The best part is you don’t need to turn on the oven, simply make it in a pan. Perfect little cake with a cup of tea!
這個是的近來最喜歡的小小蛋糕,起源自英國威爾斯。口感像蛋糕,但又像餅乾,更像Scone 鬆餅,簡單又好味!
材料和做法都十分簡單,跟做鬆餅Scone一樣,但就不需要用焗爐,在平底鑊內煎就可以。小小的蛋糕,再配一杯熱茶,超好味!
Mix flour, sugar and baking powder together in a big bowl. Then add in cubed butter (Cold butter). Crumble the butter with the flour.
Then add in egg and raisin to form a dough. If a dough too dry, add some milk, too wet, add some flour)
Roll the dough into 1 cm thin, then cut into circles.
Add little bit butter in a pan, then put the dough in. Cook under medium low heat, for about 4 to 5 minutes each side, or until golden. Sprinkle sugar on top. Enjoy!
*This recipe can make about 12 cakes. Can store in air-tight box for a week.
將麵粉、砂糖和泡打粉放入大碗內,拌勻。然後加入切小塊的牛油(牛油要用剛從雪櫃拿出來的)用手將牛油搓碎,與麵粉拌勻粉粒狀
然後加入雞蛋和葡萄乾,拌勻成麵糰 (*如麵糰太乾,要加少許牛奶,如太濕,加點麵粉)
將麵糰擀成約1cm厚,再印成圓形
在平底鍋內塗少許牛油,然後放入麵糰,用中小火煮兩邊各4-5分鐘,或至金黃色,再灑上砂糖即成
*這個食譜可做約12-14個小蛋糕
- 240 g Plain Flour 中筋麵粉
- 80 g Sugar 糖
- 110 g Butter 牛油
- 1 Egg 雞蛋
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder 泡打粉
- Milk 牛奶
- 40 g Raisins 提子乾
