These banana mochi rolls are one of my childhood favourite snack. I remember when I was kid, every time I walked pass the snack shop, I must buy some of these mochi rolls. Yes they are called banana rolls but are not made of banana, just the flavouring. They are so chewy and just delicious!
Spicy Chicken Hotpot 麻辣雞煲
Every time when I back to Hong Kong for holiday, I must have this spicy chicken hotpot. This is Sichuan style with lots of chilli and chilli pepper, so spicy but also give you numb feeling. After finishing the chicken, pour some chicken stock in it and you can start the hotpot.
Korean Pan-fried Tofu 韓式豆腐
Tofu is very healthy, well everyone knows! They are cheap and very delicious! You can fry them, make soup, cook classic Chinese dish. This Korean style pan-fried tofu is so yummy, golden and crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. With the super simple but delicious sauce, seriously, I can eat the whole box of tofu!
It is perfect to serve with plain rice or even for a snack with beer. Enjoy!

In Hong Kong, we have a classic toast snack called fried prawn toast, and in Thailand there is a smiliar snack called Pork Toast. Crispy bread with delicious pork topping. It sounds a bit weird but it is surprisingly delicious.
When French toast is sweet, these little tiny toasts are savour and spicy. Perfect snack for party and afternoon snack. Super easy to make and you will like it!

This is definitely my favourite Hong Kong-style cake since when I was kid. I still love it and must buy it every time when I back to Hong Kong. These are very traditional old-fashioned bakery style cakes, very rich and eggy flavour, sometimes if you are lucky, you can find the lotus or red bean fillings inside. They are just sooooo delicious!
You cannot always find it in bakery shops these days, people like those fancy western bread and cakes. But for me, some traditional food must continue being appreciated. This is my easy but yummy recipe, hope you love it too!

This is one of my favourite Chinese homey dishes – pork chops in tomato sauce. Have vegetable and meat in it, with sour and sweet tomato sauce. You can cook it in 20 minutes, perfect to serve with plain rice and most importantly, it is perfect lunch box meal. Try and hope you love it too!

Braised minced pork rice is one of the most popular and famous Taiwanese dishes. Braised pork belly with delicious soy sauce, perfect to serve with a bowl of rice or noodles. One of the best comfort food!
As I am not Taiwanese, I cannot say this is the authentic one, but the taste of these minced pork are close to the taste I had in Taiwan. My recipe is very simple and no fuss, mainly cook the pork for an hour. The pork are very tender and all the lovely flavour soak into the meat, it is just perfect! I usually cook a big pot of pork and freeze it for emergency craving.
