Falafel, a super popular snack in Middle East. When we live in Dubai, we always have falafel. They are made of chickpea, or sometimes with fava beans. I love to eat is just as it is, or put in pita bread pocket , add some salad and tahini (sesame seed paste) . Perfect sandwiches!

Every time when we ask about foreigner what Chinese food they like, 99% will answer – Spring rolls!!!!! hahaha seem like for them, thanks for Chinese takeaway, spring rolls are one of the most popular Chinese food.
Mr P always ask me to make spring rolls, always say the homemade ones are so much better!!!! Well, of course, with loads of fillings and freshly fry, they are just THE BEST!
Zucchini Pancakes 翠玉瓜煎餅
Zucchini is one of my favourite vegetable, when I lived in Italy, I always have it with pasta, risotto or just grilled. They are so healthy and super delicious.
Add some zucchini in your pancakes, as a snack or even serve with rice, kids will love it too!
XO Sauce Chicken Puffs XO醬雞肉酥
Anyone like me that love to add XO sauce in everything…fried rice, noodles, porridge etc. They are the sauce made with dried scallops, chilli, dried shrimps, it might taste weird for some people but I just LOVE it!
This time I make these chicken puff with xo sauce, it is like the bbq pork puff dim sum with little twist. They are so easy to make and xo sauce just make the world more beautiful! Try and I am sure you will love it too!
Molten Purple Yam Mochi 紫薯流心糯米糍
These adorable, pretty and delicious mochi are Southeast Asian dessert. The texture is similar to the Hong Kong mochi, but with sugar filling. When you cook the mochi, the filling will melt inside, it is so delicious!
I make it with purple yam, you can also use sweet potato or pumpkin. It is very easy to make, perfect snack for any time!
Kimchi Quinoa Patties 泡菜藜麥煎餅
So Quinoa is superfood, this is not new but just can’t stop talking about it! Lately I love to experience different quinoa recipes, to make salad, with rice and my favourite…patties!!!
These kimchi quinoa patties are sooooo delicious! Spicy, sour and more importantly, healthy. Super easy to make and you can always make more quinoa and add in salad or rice.
Purple Yam Sago Cake 紫薯西米糕(西米盞)
These little transparent cakes are the traditional Hong Kong snack. When I was kid, I always love to eat it. You can easily find on the street, they are very chewy, not too sweet , with red bean paste filling.
Banana Mochi Rolls 懷舊香蕉糕
These banana mochi rolls are one of my childhood favourite snack. I remember when I was kid, every time I walked pass the snack shop, I must buy some of these mochi rolls. Yes they are called banana rolls but are not made of banana, just the flavouring. They are so chewy and just delicious!
