Sweet Potato Sweet Soup 蕃薯糖水
This is classic Chinese sweet soup dessert, with sweet potatoes. In the west, people like to make sweet potatoes or make fries. We like to make it as dessert, this is very traditional dessert that mom always make it at home.
The sweet potatoes are sweet and tender, with a little bit of ginger, make a warm sweet soup. Sweet potatoes and ginger is very healthy, it can warm your stomach especially in winter. Or you can serve it cold for hot summer.Very easy to make and is great dessert after dinner.
蕃薯糖水絕對是傳統美味的中式糖水,加了薑片,令味道更香。蕃薯營養豐富又鮮甜,不用下太多糖都有天然香甜味,加上薑片,有暖胃功效。最重要是超簡單易做,30分鐘便做到,不用到甜品鋪買,自己煮一大煲,超滿足。我用了黃色蕃薯及紫蕃薯,兩種顏色,夏天就可雪凍食,超美味!
Peel , wash and cut the sweet potatoes into chunk pieces. Add water, ginger slices and sweet potatoes into a large pot. Cook on medium high heat, bring it to boil. Then add in rock sugar, cook until the sugar dissolved. Cook around 20 minutes in total, until sweet potatoes still tender but not mashy.
將蕃薯去皮,洗淨,再切小塊。將水,薑片及糖放入大鍋內,用中火煮沸,然後下冰糖。煮至糖溶化及蕃薯變軟身即成。我煮了約20分鐘。
- 600 gram sweet potatoes
- 4 - 5 slices ginger
- 150 gram rock sugar
- 1 litre water

- 薑 -4-5片
- 冰糖 -150克
- 水 -1公升
