Sticky Toffee Pudding 英式椰棗太妃蛋糕
Sticky Toffee Pudding – A British classic dessert, is one of my favourite too. Every time when we go to restaurant if there is a sticky toffee pudding on menu, I can’t resist it. It is actually sponge cake made with treacle and date, to give it the sticky texture and dark colour. THEN with the most important thing – toffee sauce. Serve with ice-cream, pour a loooot of toffee sauce on top, perfect dessert, no doubt!
It is very easy to make and I like to make it with a baking tray to share. Perfect weekend dessert or dinner party dessert, your guests will love it!
英國人將所有的飯後甜點都叫作pudding布丁,這是英國傳統的甜品Sticky Toffee Pudding,是椰棗Dates的蛋糕,再配太妃醬糖漿。椰棗的質感非常黏,整個蛋糕有黏黏的感覺,再淋上太妃糖漿及雲尼拿雪糕享用,實在超超超美味!
Cut the pitted dates into small pieces, soak it in boiling water for 15 minutes.
Cream the butter and brown sugar, then add in eggs, milk and treacle, mix well.
Sift in baking soda, baking powder and flour, mix until well-combined. Then add in soaked dates (with water), mix well. Then pour in buttered baking tray, pop in preheated oven at 180C, bake for about 35 minutes.
Toffee sauce: Put all the ingredient in a saucepan, use medium low heat to cook until all melted and bubble.
Pour some toffee sauce on top of the cake, let it rest for 10 minutes. Serve with ice-cream and more toffee sauce. Enjoy!
將椰棗去籽,切小塊,浸在熱水內15分鐘,用叉壓成蓉,備用
用電動打蛋器打發牛油及紅糖,然後下雞蛋,牛奶和糖蜜拌勻
篩入麵粉、泡打粉和蘇打粉,拌勻. 最後下椰棗蓉拌勻,倒入烤模內(在烤模內塗一層牛油),放入已預熱180度C焗爐,焗約35分鐘
太妃糖漿做法 :將所以材料放入小煲內,用中小火煮至所有材料溶化,再煮至有小氣泡出現即可
將剛煮好的太妃糖漿,倒少許在剛烤好蛋糕上,靜置10分鐘。享用時再倒太妃糖漿和雪糕享用

- 10 g Baking Powder
- 5 g Baking Soda
- 100 ml Milk
- 2 tbsp Treacle
- 80 g Butter
- 100 g Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Treacle
- 200 ml Double Cream
