Sausage Rolls 豬肉卷

In the UK, you can always find sausage rolls in cafe, bakery and supermarket. Of course the most famous one is the Greggs one. But for me, Marks & Spencers ones are the best!

Even though it is so easy to buy sausage rolls, but Mr P & I love the homemade one more. They are so easy to make, and I can add whatever seasonings I want. Get a good sausages from local butcher, add your favourite seasonings. Wrap it with store-bought puff pastry (I do not have time to make my own!), pop in oven and you will have a delicious snack. I love to make it small, it is a crowd-pleaser in a party!

在英國其中一樣國民美食就是豬肉卷。經常在麵包店、咖啡店、超市都會有。最受歡迎就是Greggs 店的,而我就比較喜歡馬莎的!

雖然超容易買到豬肉卷,但自己做的還是更美味!我都會在本地肉店買香腸,加入自己喜歡的調味,用現成的酥皮包著,放入焗爐就做到!超簡單又好味,做小小的成派對小食, 大受歡迎!

In a large bowl, mix the sausage meat and all the seasoning together, set aside.

Take out the puff pastry, cut the pastry into large rectangle (usually I cut it into half, depending of your pastry size)

Place the meat mixture on lower part of the pastry, then brush some egg wash on one edge. Then fold the other side of the pastry over onto the egg-washed edge. Press down to seal, trim the excess pastry.

Then cut into small pieces. Place on lined baking sheet, brush some egg wash on the pastry, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Pop in preheated oven at 200C, bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.

將肉腸的外層撕開,將肉與麵包粉拌勻,再加鹽,黑糊椒粉調味(可加其他香料如辣椒料,紅椒粉等)

將豬肉餡料放在起酥皮近下方的位置,均勻排好。將酥皮捲起來,捲一圈便可,把多餘的酥皮切掉,用蛋液把封口處黏合。

切成小段,封口處朝下,放在鋪有烘焙紙的烤盤上。在表面刷上一層蛋液,灑上芝麻,放入已預熱200C 焗爐,焗約15至20分鐘,至表面金黃色即成!

  • 500 g Pork Sausage or Minced Pork 豬肉腸或免治豬肉
  • Salt 鹽
  • Black Pepper 黑胡椒粉
  • Paprika 紅椒粉
  • Dried Herbs 香草
  • Egg Wash 蛋液
  • 3 tbsp Panko 麵包糠
