Purple Sweet Potato Sago 紫薯椰汁西米露
Classic and very popular Hong Kong dessert – Coconut Sago Sweet Soup. You can add yam or mix fruit in it, very simple but super delicious dessert.
This time I make a different version, add with purple sweet potato, obviously is a healthy version 😉 Mix with coconut and get the super pretty purple colour. Who doesn’t love it?!

經常在甜品店吃的港式椰汁西米露,這次做的特別的版本,加入紫薯,粉嫰的紫色,好美喔~
健康又美味的甜湯,做法超簡單,煮一大鍋,一家人分享,超滿足!
To cook the sago: Bring a pot of boiling water, then add in sago and cook for 10 minutes under medium heat. Remove from heat and let it rest for 15 minutes. The sago will become transparent.
Put the sago under water, that can make it not stick together. Then drain well. Set aside.
Peel and cut the purple sweet potato into small pieces. Steam half the sweet potato for 10 minutes or fully cooked. Then use fork to mash it to puree.
Bring 600ml water to boil, add in the rest of the sweet potato. Cook for 10-15 minutes until softened.
Add in rock sugar, coconut cream and sweet potato puree. Mix well and cook for two minutes. Then add in sago and mix well. Enjoy!
西米煮法:煮沸一煲水後,下西谷米,用中火煮10分鐘,然後離火。(西米會有一點點白色)一直蓋上煲蓋,靜置15分鐘,西米會變成透明狀
用水沖西米數次,可令西米不黏在一起,瀝乾水份備用
將紫薯去皮、切小塊,將一半紫薯用中火蒸約10分鐘或至熟透,再用叉將蒸好的紫薯壓成泥,備用
煮沸600毫升水,然後下餘下的紫薯,煮約10-15鐘至紫薯軟身
然後下冰糖、椰汁和步驟3的紫薯泥,拌勻,煮兩分鐘,再下西米拌勻即成!
- 80 g sago

- 300 毫升 椰漿
