Perfect Caramel Popcorn 焦糖爆谷
Homemade popcorn on the stove coat with caramel, perfect snack ever! It is just super easy to make, fresh and delicious! Great snack for game day or movie night!
Oooooh I love popcorn, it is just so beautiful sound when they pop…I used to be lazy and keep those microwave-popcorn at home, they are yummy but sometimes too salty or too sweet. So I make my own again on the stove, it is super super easy and you can add whatever flavour you like. My favourite is caramel, good thing is you can control how much (a lot of course) and how sweet they are.
Making popcorn is a bit tricky, it has to make most of the corn pop, and not get the bottom burnt. My way is, with the lid on, shake the whole pot or pan every 20 seconds. It will prevent the corn burnt and most…almost all corn will pop.

Heat the oil in large saucepan or pan on medium heat, you have to put the popcorn kernels while the oil is very heat. To test it, you can put one or two in it, if it pop, then you can add all in the pan. Cover the pan, then you can hear the popcorn start popping, shake the whole pan (with the lid on) back and forth every 20 seconds.
熱鑊後下油,用中火煮至油熱後,下粟米粒。(可下一兩粒粟米粒,如爆開,代表油已熱)倒下所有粟米粒,與油拌勻,蓋上鑊蓋,用中火煮,會聽到爆谷爆開的聲音,每20秒便搖一搖整個鑊,可防止爆谷燒焦。
Once the pop slows down few seconds between pops, then remove from it. Let it wait for a minute, then remove the lid. You can sprinkle some salt in the popcorn.
直至爆谷聲停止時,離火,待30秒後才打開鑊蓋。可灑點鹽與爆谷拌勻。
For the caramel sauce, place the water and sugar in a suacepan on medium heat, mix well and let it cook until the colour change to caramel color. It takes few minutes, once the color is caramel, remove from heat and add butter. Quickly stir well and pour into the popcorn, mix well immediately or the caramel will harden. Let it cool and enjoy!
焦糖漿做法:將水及糖在小煲內拌勻,用中火煮至糖變焦糖色,然後離火。加入牛油,快速拌勻,然後倒入爆谷內,快速拌勻,否則焦糖會變硬。待涼後便可享用!
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 90 gram popcorn kernels
- 60 ml water
- 120 gram sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 材料:
- 油 -2湯匙
- 爆谷粟米粒 -90克
- 焦糖漿:
- 糖 -120克
- 水-60毫升
- 牛油 -1湯匙
