Mango Pomelo Sago 楊枝甘露
This is one of the best and most popular dessert from Hong Kong. I remember when I was young, me and my friends always go to a dessert shop that sell mainly mango dessert. And this become my all time favourite dessert and full of happy memories.
It is full of mango, sago, coconut milk and pomelo. It is ”kind of” a healthy dessert. It is super easy to make, very refreshing in summer and super delicious! Last time when I back to Hong Kong, it costs $50HKD for a bowl, so I have to make it myself! I cannot find the pomelo in the UK, so I use grapefruit instead. Make it and hope you will love it as much as I do!

Add sago into a large pot of boiling water, cover the lid. Cook for 15 minutes, remove from heat then let it set for 10 minutes. Then put the sago under the water, drain well.
Cut one mango and pomelo into pieces. Blend the rest of the mango into puree.
Bring the water to boil, add in sugar until dissolve. Add in coconut cream and evaporated milk, mix well.
Then add in sago, pomelo and mango. Chill in fridge for few hours before enjoying it!
將西米放入一大煲沸水內,蓋上煲蓋,用中火煮15分鐘,離火,再靜置10分鐘。用開水沖西米,瀝乾水份,備用。
將一個芒果切小塊,柚子分成小塊。將餘下的芒果打成蓉。
將水煮沸,下糖,煮至糖溶化。加入椰漿和花奶,拌勻。
加入西米、芒果和柚子,放入雪櫃數小時後便可享用。
- 3-4 Mango 芒果
- Pomelo/Grapefruit 柚
- 50 g Sago 西米
- 160 ml Coconut Cream 椰漿
- 200 ml Evaporated Milk 花奶
- 100 ml Water 水
- 40 g Sugar 糖
