Maltesers Gluntinous Rice Balls /Mochi 麥提莎糯米糍
Very popular Gluntinous Rice Ball from Hong Kong , it is similar to Japanese mochi. Very soft, chewy with a Maltesers inside. Super easy to make at home and perfect snack for any occasion.
So these little soft balls are very popular in Hong Kong since forever. The classic one has red bean paste or peanuts filling, later they have more different flavour, mango, matcha, chocolate. My favourite is definitely the Maltesers flavour!!!
It is one of the most easiest thing to make, once you know how to make it, you really don’t have to buy from the stores. Simply mix everything together and steam it to a soft dough. Wrap with filling then is done! It will definitely become popular snack at your home. Be creative and make your spical flavour maybe?! 🙂

做法其實很簡單,人人都可以在家輕鬆做到!將材料拌勻,蒸粉團,然後包餡料就做到!

Mix the sugar, gluntinous rice flour and cocoa powder together in a bowl. Then add the coconut milk and milk, mix well until smooth.
先將糯米粉,糖及可可粉在大碗內拌勻,然後加入椰漿及牛奶拌勻,至幼滑及沒有粉粒。
Brush some vegetable oil on a plate, then pour the mixture in it. Steam on high for 15 minutes. Or you can use microwave on high heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Until the surface is set.
在蒸盤內刷一層油(植物油),然後倒入粉漿,用大火蒸15分鐘。或用微波爐最大火力加熱3.5至4分鐘,至表面凝固便可。
Let the dough cool for a minute, prepare maltesers chocolate, cocoa powder or coconut flaks for coating.
Wear plastic gloves, take out a small dough, flatten it with your palm. Place a chocolate on it, then wrap it and roll into a ball. Coat with cocoa powder.
預備麥提莎巧克力及可可粉,也可用椰絲。讓粉團待涼一分鐘,然後戴上膠手套,拿一小份粉團,放一粒朱古力在中間,包好,搓圓。
然後再將糯米糍沾上可可粉或椰絲即成!

- 70 gram gluntinous rice flour
- 40 gram sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 30 ml coconut milk
- 100 ml milk
- Cocoa powder or coconut flakes for coating
