Homemade Vietnamese Pork Roll(Cha Lua) Noodles Salad

When we lived in London, we always go to our local Authentic Vietnamese restaurant, to have my favourite noodles salad. But now in the small town that I live in , the Vietnamese restaurant is just British style, not my cup of tea.

Lately I found out it is super easy to make Vietnamese pork roll ( Cha Lua) at home, I can’t believe how easy it is and it even taste better than the store-bought one. So now I can always have my Vietnamese noodles salad at home, with the homemade Vietnamese sauce that I never get enough in the restaurant.

Marinate the minced pork with all the seasonings. Mix well and put the pork into ziplog bag, flatten it and freeze for 1 hour.

After an hour, take the pork out and put in food processor. Blend the pork for few minutes until very smooth, it should look quite pale pink colour.

Then put the pork on cling film (traditionally they use banana leaves) and roll it into cylinder tightly.

Steam for 25-30 minutes. Let it cool then slice it.

For the sauce, mix all the ingredients together and enjoy!
