Homemade Burger Bun 自製漢堡包

It is almost the end of summer, it is all about BBQ. It is nice to have freshly grilled burger with homemade burger bun.

They are little crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. This is not the brioche bread as I found them a bit sweet. Super easy to make, this ”normal” burger bun is what you need for perfect burger!

Mix the instant dried yeast, sugar and water together, let it rest for 15 minutes.

Mix the bread flour and salt together. Then add in yeast mixture and egg, mix well.

Then add in milk and butter, knead the dough for about 10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover with cling film and let it rest for an hour or until the dough double its size.

Take out the dough, press it to release air. Divide into 8 pieces, roll into a ball. Place it on lined baking sheet, cover with cling film and let it rest for another 1 hour.

Brush some beaten egg on the dough, sprinkle withe sesame seeds. Place in preheated oven at 180C, bake for 18 to 20 minutes.

將酵母、糖和水拌勻,靜置15分鐘

將高筋麵粉和鹽拌勻,加入酵母混合液、雞蛋,拌勻

然後加入牛奶和牛油,拌勻,搓麵糰約10分鐘,或至搓出薄膜,將麵糰放入塗有油的大碗內,用保鮮紙包好,靜置一小時,或至麵糰賬大一倍 (冬天需要長一點時間)

拿出麵糰,按壓排出空氣,然後將麵糰分成8份,搓圓,放在鋪有烘焙紙的烤盤上,蓋上保鮮紙,靜置一個小時

在麵糰上塗上蛋液,灑上芝麻,放入已預熱180度C焗爐,焗約18至20分鐘即成!

*這個食譜可做8個麵包或6個大包
