Fruit Galette 鄉村水果批

I love this Galette, looks so pretty! The rustic look make it look even more delicious. The shortcrust pastry is easy to handle, no pie tin needed, simply fold the pastry to the centre and you will have this lovely look. The shortcrust pastry is golden and very crispy, with the fruit in the centre, an easy version of fruit tart. Perfect for summer party to impress your guests!

For the Pastry : Mix the flour, salt and sugar in a big bowl, then add cubbed cold butter. Use your finger tips to break the butter and mix with the flour into crumbs. Add 3 tablespoons of cold water and form a dough. If the dough is too dry, add more water ; it too wet, add some flour. You can also do it in food processor.
Use cling film to wrap the dough, chill in fridge for 30 minutes. Then sprinkle some flour of worktop surface, roll the dough into around 22 cm diameter circle.
在枱上灑少許麵粉,放上麵糰,用擀麵棒擀成圓形(直徑約22厘米)
For the Fruit, mix the fruit with lemon juice , sugar and cornstarch.
將水果切小塊或切片,加檸檬汁,糖及粟粉拌勻備用。我用草莓,蜜桃及藍莓。
Put the fruit at the centre of the pastry, then gently fold the pastry over to cover the edge of the fruit. Brush some eggwash or milk on the pastry, sprinkls with some sugar. Pop in preheated 180C over , bake for 35 -40 minutes.
Serve with a scoop of ice-cream! Enjoy!
在批皮中間放上水果,然後將周邊的批皮向內折好,在批皮上塗一層蛋液或牛奶,可灑少許白砂糖在上面。放入已預熱180度焗爐,焗約35-40分鐘,至表面金黃色,水果軟身便可。
