Crispy Baked Onion Rings
Golden, crispy baked onion rings are so delicious! You add any spice or herbs you like, coated with panko which give the crispy texture. Delicious and healthier snack.
I try to be healthier these days, start to drink fruit and vegetable juice everyday, run at least 10km per week (I should do more than that tho). Even my diet change a bit and try to bake food instead of frying food. These onion rings are better and crispier than I expect, they are so crispy and delicious!
I think the best is use the Panko (Japanese Breadcrumbs), cook the Panko in a pan until golden, it can help to make crispy texture for the onion rings. They are healthier and easier to make compared to the fried one, and taste very very good! Perfect healthy snack!
To make crisper onion rings, use one tablespoon of olive oil and cook the Panko on low heat, cook until it golden. Let it cool in a shallow dish.
Slice the onions into 1/2-inch circles, then separate into rings.
Beat the egg with milk in a bowl, season with salt and pepper. In a shallow dish, mix the flour, season with salt and pepper, and add the spice.
Coat the onion rings with flour, then dip into egg mixture and then coat with Panko. Place the onion rings on lined baking sheet with parchment.
