I am not a bread fan at all and seldom eat bread. I do make bread at home but is only for Mr P. However, there is always exception, when I lived in Italy, I love ciabatta and focaccia bread. They are so just tasty and full of flavour.
This is authentic Italian recipe, very easy to make. This bread is full of olive oil flavour and make the bread extra tasty. You can slice the bread and dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar for snack. Or, can slice it in half and sandwich with tomato, cheese, pesto. Hmmmm…taste of Italy! Try and hope you love it too!
No-Knead Raisin & Walnut Bread 免搓提子合桃麵包
So…the topic of ”no-knead” bread is very attractive right?! 😉 Yes, you don’t need a bread machine, you don’t need to knead bread and you will still have a very super tasty bread!
Simply mix the dough together, then let it rest for 12 hours or more, let it rise slowly. The trick is to bake in a dutch oven, trap the air and make it like a steam method. Then you will have a very crispy crust and soft bread inside. With the raisins and walnuts give the sweetness and chewiness. It is a perfect bread! Serve with butter, Enjoy!
Apricot Danish Pastries 杏桃丹麥酥(麵包)
Very shiny and beautiful apricot Danish pastries, with buttery, fluffy pastry. Filled with pastry cream and top with apricot. Lovely and delicious treat for any time that you can make at home.
This is my favourite Danish pastry, love the taste, the color and the look of the shiny dome apricot. With homemade pastry cream (you can search the recipe on my blog here), or you can use custard. Top with apricot or any fruit you like, the most important is put a glaze of apricot jam to make it shiny.
Mashed Purple Sweet Potato 超簡單紫薯蓉
Every time I buy the sweet potato puree from the store, they are all too sweet and obviously not healthy at all. So I always make my own puree for pastry, dessert and bread.
This is a very simple recipe, you do not have to ”cook” the puree, but simply mix it with butter and milk, then you will have a very smooth and gorgeous purple puree.
Korean Street Food Sandwich 韓式街頭三文治
Very popular Korean street food sandwich, yes, it is just normal sandwich with two slices of bread, ham, cheese…BUT it is not only like this. To make this sandwich special, there is a omelette with lots of vegetables like cabbage, onion, carrot ….of course you can be creative and add spring onion, zucchini or whatever veggie you have at home. And most important thing is, sprinkle sugar on toasted bread…it might sound strange but it is super yummy!
