Candied Walnuts 琥珀核桃
Chinese New Year is here soon, so I been making many Chinese New Year food & snack. One of my favourite snack is these candied walnuts. Of course it is not only for Chinese New Year but this is when we usually have it 😀
This is super easy to make, mix the walnuts with syrup, then deep fry it. Very crunchy and sweet, super delicious. And hey, it is walnut, so I consider as healthy snack.
合桃(核桃)營養豐富,平常可用來烘焙蛋糕,做派等。但農曆新年快到,琥珀合桃就是最好的賀年小食。金黃香脆,甜甜的沾滿糖漿,超美味,完全停不了口!
超簡單易做,做一大盤,超好味的賀年小食!
Bring a pot of water to boil, boil the walnuts for 2 minutes, drain it.
Boil 100 ml of water with sugar, cook until dissolved, add the maltose and mix well. Add in walnuts and make sure all walnuts coat with syrup.
Then fry it in hot oil for about 3 to 4 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with white sesame , serve when is cooled.
Easily store in an airtight container for 2 week.
將核桃煮兩分鐘,瀝乾水份(這步驟不可省略,可去澀味)
用100毫升水與糖拌勻,煮至糖溶化,然後再加麥芽糖拌勻。下核桃與糖漿拌勻。然後放入熱油炸約3 至4分鐘,至金黃色。灑上白芝麻,待涼後即成!
- 400 g Walnuts 合桃
- 200 g Sugar 糖
- 100 ml Water 水
- 1 tbsp Maltose 麥芽糖
- White Sesame Seeds 白芝麻
