Banana Mochi Rolls 懷舊香蕉糕

These banana mochi rolls are one of my childhood favourite snack. I remember when I was kid, every time I walked pass the snack shop, I must buy some of these mochi rolls. Yes they are called banana rolls but are not made of banana, just the flavouring. They are so chewy and just delicious!

It is hard to find these traditional food now, but it is good to make it at home and share with family and friends. They are so easy to make and maybe can bring you back some childhood memories. 

小時候很喜歡這個懷舊的香蕉糕,有誰跟我一樣?每次經過傳統餅店,都一家會買。香軟煙靭,有淡淡的香蕉味,非常好味!

現在已很少機會買到,要吃就要自己在家做囉~做法非常簡單,不用真的香蕉,用香蕉精油便可,大人小朋友都喜歡!

 

 

For Coating : Add 30g glutinous rice flour in a pan (do not add oil), cook it under low heat for few minutes. Keep stirring and set aside.

Mix 150g glutinous rice flour, rice flour and sugar together. Add in water and mix well until smooth. Add in banana flavouring, mix well. 

Lightly brush the plate with oil, then pour the batter into a plate. Steam under high heat for 20 minutes. 

Sprinkle some cooked glutinous rice flour on a table, place the dough on top and coat with more glutinous rice flour. Place a parchment paper on top and roll it. 

Then roll it into long roll and cut into small pieces. 

糕粉做法: 將30克的糯米粉放在鑊內,用小火炒糯米粉數分鐘,備用 (*不用下油)

將150克的糯米粉、粘米粉和糖拌勻,然後下水拌勻至沒有粉粒,再下香蕉油拌勻.

在蒸盤上塗一層薄薄的油,倒入粉漿,用大火蒸約20分鐘. 

在枱上灑上步驟一的糕粉,放上蒸熟的粉團. 在上面放一張牛油紙,然後擀薄 (*一定要在粉團熱的時候擀)

再捲成圓條狀,再切件即成!(*如粉糰很黏就灑點糕粉)

*香蕉油 Banana Flavouring 可以在烘焙店或大型超市買到
*一定要在粉糰還熱的時候擀薄和捲起,動作要快,否則就不會黏

  • 80 g rice flour
  • 150 g glutinous rice flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 350 ml water
  • 10 ml banana flavouring
  • 30 g cooked glutinous rice flour
