Hong Kong Zha Jiang Noodles
One of the most popular Hong Kong style noodles – Zha Jiang Noodles 炸醬麵. Dry egg noodles with pork and spicy sauce, mix it together, simple but incredibly delicious.
So my favourite noodles is Wonton noodles soup雲吞麵, second is Zha Jiang noodles. This is one of the classic noodles in Hong Kong, many people love to have it for lunch or dinner. In UK, of course is impossible to have the authentic one, so I have to make it at home.
Very easy to make and only takes 15 minutes, perfect for quick lunch. A little taste of home. 🙂
Cook the noodles then drain well, set aside. Cut the pork into thin stripe, marinate with some soy sauce, sugar, salt and corn starch.
Heat oil in hot pan, add the garlic and meat, cook for 3 minutes. Then add all the seasoning and water, bring it to boil. Turn to low heat and cook for 5 more minutes.
Add the mixture of corn starch and water, cook until the sauce thicken.
Place the noodles on a place, add the sauce, sprinkle with spring onion. Done!
